BAB 1

Malam semalam, ingatkan nak update blog. Berkobar-kobar tu sebab jiwa tak kacau dan hati ku gembira. Sekali tu line tenet kat laptop mama down. Nak mintak tolong hubby tengokkan, dia dah 'belayar', kesian pulak nak kejut. Nak pujuk hati, terus gosok baju. Terubat sket rajuk ku ini... dan terkuranglah sikit timbunan baju belum bergosok ku iteww... hahaha... jadi tuan-tuan dan puan-puan, petua menghilangkan rajuk adalah menggosok baju... bley? ....muahahaha...

Mama gembira semalam sebab mama terima parcel dari Poslaju Malaysia. Hairan juga pada mulanya sebab hubby tak ada pulak beritahu dia ada beli apa-apa online dan mama pun tak ada beli apa-apa online. Rupanya mama dapat hadiah dari rakan yang mama kenali di Facebook...erk facebook? huhuhu..nostalgia tuh... banyak kenangan manis.... Terima kasih banyak-banyak ye Fadzlina Kamis. Macam tahu tahu je mama baru habis baca novel oleh Norhayati Ibrahim dan sedang berfikir, buku apa pulak nak baca selepas ni...yang pasti... buku ini yang akan ku baca seterusnya.... dah siap balut tau....

Bila Niezza dah sebut perkataan 'wasiat' tu... rasa bersalah pulak kalau tak buat. Dahlah tu... nama mama yang pertama kena 'tembak'. Terharu tu sebenarnya... hihi..

 

Okay Niezza, mama dah bawak balik award yang Niezza bagi, dah gantung lek lok ni.... Pasal homework tu, mama dah pernah buat dulu... jadi mama linkkan ajelah kat sini ek... aci eh.... Apa-apa pun, terima kasih banyak-banyak atas ingatan Niezza tu ye...

Phewwww... that was long! Don't really know how many times I had stopped along the way... to prepare breakfast, to hang the laundry, to clear the kitchen etc etc... CUTIE STRAWBERRY ROLLS

Egg yolk Batter :

6 egg yolks

20g sugar

60g fresh milk

45g cornoil (original called for salad oil)

100g cake flour (original called for low gluten flour)

15g cornflour

Egg Whites :

6 egg whites (original called for 5.5 egg whites)

70g sugar

Ingredients for little strawberries :

20g egg whites

10g sugar

few drops strawberry paste or red colouring

** some cocoa powder diluted in some water (brown color)

** some pandan paste (green color~leaves)

Fillings :

Some whipped cream and some halved fresh strawberries

Method :

~ First, preheat the oven at 180'C. Then lightly whisk the egg yolks together with 20g sugar, then add in fresh milk and coinoil and mix well.

~ Add in cake flour and cornflour and stir well. Set aside.

~ Spoon out 30g egg yolk batter and mix in the red colouring or strawberry paste. Mix well.

~ Whisk the egg whites and sugar (ingredients for little strawberries) till half soft peak form and add in the prepared 30g egg yolk batter. Stir well.

~ Spoon the pink batter into a piping bag with tip #3. Pipe some little triangles onto lined tray (10"x14").

~ Bake at 180'C for 1 minute then set aside.

~ Whisk the 6 egg whites together with the 70g sugar until peak form.

~ Fold into the remaining egg yolk batter. Then pour batter over the half-baked strawberries.

~ Flatten the top with a spatula and bake at 175'-180'C for 12-13 minutes.

~ Transfer on to wire rack to cool completely. Then slice into half.

~ Once completely cooled, spread the whipped cream and place some strawberries on the cream and roll up.

~ Once the rolls are stable, colour the strawberries with prepared cocoa powder and pandan paste.

Note :

I used buttercream for the filling.

JACKFRUIT FRITTERS

Ingredients :

1 cup ripe jackfruit - diced
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 teaspoons milk powder
1/2 cup sugar (depends on how sweet is your jackfruit)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup water
oil for frying

Method :

1. Place all the above ingredients in a big bowl. Cut and fold till the mixture is well combined. Set aside.

2. Heat oil in a wok. Spoon a tablespoon of mixture into the oil and fry till golden brown.

3. Remove from heat and ready to serve.

JEMPUT-JEMPUT NANGKA
BAHAN-BAHAN :

1 cawan isi nangka yang masak ranum - dipotong dadu atau disiat-siat
1 1/2 cawan tepung gandum
1 sudu kecil serbuk penaik
2 sudu kecil susu tepung
1/2 cawan gula (bergantung kepada kemanisan buah nangka)
1/2 sudu kecil garam
1 cawan air
minyak untuk menggoreng

KAEDAH PENYEDIAAN :

1. Satukan kesemua bahan-bahan di atas, kecuali minyak, ke dalam mangkuk besar.
2. Kaupbalikkan hingga adunan sebati.
3. Panaskan minyak. Sudukan sesudu besar bancuhan ke dalam minyak dan goreng hingga perang keemasan.
4. Angkat dan toskan lebihan minyak. Sedia untuk dihidangkan.

Petang ni, mama nak bereskan dua 'homework' dulu ye. Ada lagi satu menunggu tu.. aduyai, bilalah nak siap nih... Nandos. Mama suka makan strips and rice. Tapi kan, mama rindu banget kat Nandos di Malawi sebab nasi dia....masyaAllah sedaaaaaappppp sangat... huhuhu....


7. Ayam, kambing, lembu, itik, burung puyuh, burung wak-wak, rusa, landak, merpati, ayam denak. Mana satu yang korang suka? Kalau korang ada suka yang lain, tapi aku tak list, bagitau je la.

16.Korang kalau jumpe orang yang tag korang ni, apa agaknya korang nak hidang/belanja?
Mihun la sebab dia kata dia suka mihun! Hahaha.... Kalau orang yang mama tag ni jumpa mama, mama nak makan Kenny Rogers okay! Ahahaha...

Moving out?

Mama.... are you moving out?

Not really... haha... actually I had to hire this truck to help me carry all the awards that these couple of ladies had kindly passed to me quite sometime back. My sincere apologies for the delay in collecting as I was pretty tight up lately. Too many things to do in too little time...

The first award is from T of The Ugly Truth Blog. Thank you so much T for passing me another pink apron. Love it.... Big hugs to you...

Second award, the Sunshine award, came from kOi and Tina. Thank you ladies for remembering me. But hold on... this award came with a bit of homework! No pain no gain huh! Hahaha... no sweat..mama is in the mood to answer the tag at moment...

3. Married to a very caring, loving and responsible husband in 1991 ... wah dah jack jack macam ni, agak-agak abang nak bawak gi makan angin tak? Hahaha..

4. A mom to two kids, Fatin aged 17 and Syahmi turning 15 this October. Satu SPM, satu PMR tuuuuuuuuuuu.....demam mama dia!

5. Love experimenting with food. Experimenting does not mean eating as well ya... *wink*

6. Love doing cross stitch but had lessen that activity just because I don't like to wear reading glasses! Why don't I like wearing them? Because they kept slipping down my nose! Hahaha....

7. Love travelling and visiting new places.

8. Love to watch cartoons or fairy tales movies. Why? Because it's more relaxing!

9. I can be such a chatterbox when online, but when it comes to meeting in person, then will see the situation. If the other person is far more chatterbox than I am, I tend to slow down!

10. I love colors! I guess everybody knows that! *Wink*

1. Bila tengok orang buat sesuatu, selalu berkata pada diri sendiri... alah senang je tu, aku pun boleh buat. Tapi bila tiba masa membuat, ada kala, kantoi jugak! Hahaha
2. Kuat berfikir...tu sebab rambut dah banyak yang platinum!

Bihun Singapore & Award from FiDa

BIHUN SINGAPORE

Ingredients :

600g rice noodles ~ soak till soft
200g prawns ~ cleaned
200g squid ~ sliced
Bok choy ~ cut to small pieces
1 carrot ~ cut thinly
3 tablespoons cooking oil
salt to taste
enough water

To be minced :

1 tablespoon blackpepper corn
1 shallot
3 cloves garlic

To garnish :

1 egg ~ made into omellette, slice thinly
2 fresh red chillie, sliced

Method :

1. Heat oil and add in the minced ingredients.
2. Add in prawns and squid.
3. Add carrots and cook till slightly soft. Add salt to taste and enough water.
4. Add in the soft rice noodles and stir.
5. When the noodles are nicely mixed, add in bok choy.
6. When serving, sprinkle the top with sliced omelette and fresh red chillie.

Assalamualaikum warrahmatullahi wabarokaatuh buat semua yang sudi berkunjung ke 'rumah' mama yang tidak seberapanya ini....

Eh, janganlah pelik pulak. Mama tak demam dan tak la orang kata buang tebiat ke apa, tapi memang mama nak tulis dalam Bahasa Malaysia hari ni. Saja suka-suka. Lagipun dalam entry kali ini, mama tak ada nak tepek resepi, jadi tak adalah yang akan suruh mama alihbahasa.

Okay, mama nak ucapkan berbanyak-banyak terima kasih buat Nenek Glamer kerana sudi bagi mama sampai 2 tiara sekali. MAKCIK KAYO!!! Alamak... Mat, jangan kutuk mama ye... ko jangan lak membayangkan mama pakai sari pas tu pakai tiara ni ye. Sebab iklan KFC tu guna 'MAT' dan bukan 'MA' taw... kih kih kih..... Ma berkenan yang merah tu, tapi sebab nenek kata, ambil dua-dua, nanti leh buat ganti-ganti pakai. Ye tak ye gak, kot kalau gaun mama warna biru, takkan nak pakai crown merah pulak kan, dah macam buta warna pulak jadinya.. hahaha... Terima kasih banyak ye Nek... mama suka......




Pagi ni, mama dengar radio ERA, rumah Allahyarham Din Beramboi dimasuki pencuri. Sampai hati betul diorang buat macam tu kan? Sudahlah keluarga Allahyarham masih bersedih dengan pemergian orang yang tersayang, ini pulak, barang peninggalan Allahyarham pun nak dikebasnya. Cubalah diorang letak diri diorang di tempat keluarga malang ini, macam mana agaknya rasanya kan. Pada ahli keluarga Allahyarham, mama harap mereka bersabar dan tabah menghadapi segala dugaan yang menimpa. Memang mudah untuk kita berkata-kata, tetapi berat lagi bahu yang memikul. Semoga Allah melindungi dan memberkati keluarga Allahyarham...

Okaylah, nak 'punch card' kat dapur pulak.... nanti kalau ada kesempatan, mama update resepi la pulak ye....

In order to get this award, I have to reveal 10 honest truths about myself... hopefully I'll be honest enough! Hahaha... Here goes nothing...

1. I am NOT PERFECT in all aspects.
2. I am a wife to a wonderful hubby and a mother of two teenages, Fatin 17 and Syahmi, going 15.
3. Love the job that I am having at the moment, a housewife. Never liked working in the office.
4. I am a fussypot especially when it comes to hanging the clothes to dry and taking them in for folding. I want to do it myself and nobody must do it, if it can be helped that is.
5. Used and prefer to iron hubby's clothes myself, but had to give in now. Had to send his clothes to the laundromat for ironing. Time is just not on my side, or is it I who is not good in managing time!!! I do feel bad and at times I felt like a useless wife.....
6. I love self challenge. I will always do the best that I can. It sometimes makes me exhausted towards the end. I guess I am a weird fella!
7. Love to look at the photos that I've shot! Hahaha... Not boasting, proud or whatsoever but confident!
8. Love reading my own fotopage and my own blog, especially those good ol' memories....
9. I don't like to drive behind a big vehicle. I feel suffocated. If possible, I don't want to drive behind anything! Hahaha... as if the road belongs to me!
10. I am sloppy. Don't really know how to dress nicely.

Opps... 10 already huh... phew what a relief! Less humiliation! Hahaha....
