Air Tembikai Laici

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

Spent the whole morning doing the tart casings. Would have done more if I didn't run out of ingredients. Had to go to the shop and buy before I can continue. And this morning, I did the tart casings while watching television. The TV must be wondering, why did this lady kept me on for a long time not like always, she won't even look at me... not a glimpse! Hahaha... Yeah, this morning, I watched the sinetrons, one after and also some game series! Among all, I fell in love with Cinta Kirana. I had told myself not to start watching these sinetrons any more after Benci Bilang Cinta, but did I hear my warning? No I didn't. I watched. And the same episode, trice! Why? I like to see Galang (Randy Pangalila). Ahaks... sorry abang.. jangan jeles ye.. hihihi....eleh...ada dia kisah!!!! Muahahaha.... When will this newly founded misery will end? Huhuhuhuhu.....

Prepared this drink yesterday for Iftaar. Much liked by Syahmi. Got the recipe from Majalah Rasa. But before that Maz did mention about it. Didn't try it out as I was just lazy to buy the watermelon. But day before, Iddin's mom gave us some watermelon, so I decided to give it a go. And I am not disappointed.

Sirap Bandung

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

It's 2.10pm now. I am exhausted. This morning I had planned to iron the clothes after saying my namaaz but when I saw the basketful of folded clothes still in the basket, I decided to arrange them in their proper closet. When I opened Syahmi's closet and saw the 'unwanted view' inside, I started to put it back in order. Once done there, my eyes came upon the messy study table and cleaned that one too. Not only did I arrange but wiped them sparkling clean as well. From the table to the bed. Done with Syahmi's room, I went to Fatin's room, the upstairs hall and finally the master bedroom and the attached room. Since I've done quite some dust removing activity, surely I need to sweep. So why not I just finish it up with mopping.... Yeah... there goes my ironing. Being a hot sunny day today, of course you can imagine what state I am at this moment....... coooobaaannnnn.....

T.H.E R.E.C.I.P.E

I will post a recipe that Shabana had asked for, the other day in my facebook. It's a simple recipe and I'm sure all of you know how to prepare this... Anyway Shabs, this is for you.....

Sirap Bandung

SIRAP BANDUNG

Ingredients :

2 cups sugar
1 cup water
pandanus leave - knotted
Pink food coloring
Evaporated milk
Enough ice
Enough water

Method :

1. Boil water, sugar, pandanus leave and pink food coloring till sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and leave to cool.
2. Add in enough evaporated milk and water to taste.
3. Lastly add enough ice cubes.

Note :

If you want to add in icecream soda, you may do so. It'll taste nicer but I always failed when adding the soda. The drinks and the soda seem to separate... tips anyone?

Creamy Hot Cocoa (Jeanie Bean)

Hello everyone...
How's your Sunday so far? Hope all are well, enjoyable and fun, not to mention safe as well. Mine had been quite a good one so far. Managed to do most of the house chores by morning which allows me to do my ironing as well. I miss my iron actually. Weird, I know. But when you like it, you just like it! Haha...

Syahmi had his tuition with Iddin at our house just now. And after the class, I just served them with some Roti Boy which I bought yesterday and also a cake from the wedding gift. Then I went on AllRecipes dot com to look for any drinks that I can serve them and stumbled upon this Hot Chocolate Drink which I think is the best to serve my visitors. I wasn't wrong. All of them loves the Creamy Hot Cocoa. Thank you to Jeanie Bean of AllRecipes dot com for coming to my rescue. Allow me to post the recipe here, with a slight changes to suit my taste, so that many others could enjoy your lovely recipe.

Jimi Asmara

Some things are just too good to be true that you can't believe it's happening right infront of your eyes!!! Last Sunday, we went to KLIA to meet up with Naseem and family who flew in from Penang after a 3 days holidays there. I was so excited plus nervous plus impatient and everything, combined into one. It's like meeting your heart throb!! *wink* The moment I saw Zahra, Naseem's elderest daughter emerged from the Arrival Hall followed by the rest of the family members, I am pretty sure I wasn't dreaming that time. Until we hugged, a long hug, then only I am 100% sure I am not dreaming! Had to pinch myself in order to confirm it!

How can I not be excited. Thought I would never see them again because Malaysia and Malawi is very far. And for us to go there again, it's like almost impossible. Unless, somebody is willing to sponsor the whole family just for the air tickets, we will be more than happy!!! Anybody???? It had been two years since we left Malawi behind with loads of wonderful memories treasured deep in our hearts. And two years I had been without my close friends there whom are now just like my brothers and sisters. And to be able to meet at least one of them is such a blessing. But I got to meet the whole family. Syukur alhamdulillah......

We met up with them, just for a short 15 minutes as the hotel bus was waiting for them. But 15 minutes is better than never. Maybe hubby saw that it wasn't enough for me, he told Ishmael (Naseem's hubby) that we'll visit them at their hotel tomorrow. So yesterday, after hubby's niece and hubby left, we went to where Naseem and family are staying. Had a long chat (was it long mummy? Ummmm... I think 2 hours is nothing huh? We still have loads to talk about, things to catch up with huh?) and we left their hotel at 11.30 pm. That was because, we saw that they are tired after the KLCC tour and had to wake up early the next morning to get ready for Sunway Lagoon. Anyway, it was lovely meeting all of you again. InsyaAllah we'll try to meet up with you guys at least one more time at the airport. Oooooo I just dread that moment....wish it doesn't have to happen.... meanwhile, enjoy your time here and bring back lovely memories to Malawi.....

***************************************

Since I have a long list of chores to do, will go straight to the recipe for the day. It'll be a very short, easy and lovely recipe to share. Thanks to Ummi Kuantan and Mak Lang Azie for sharing the recipe with us.... It really quench the thirst and if you're familiar with F&N Fruitade, well the taste is similar minus the gas hence more healthy....is it? Hahaha... lu pikirlah sendiri......

Iced Coffee

Hello there everyone...

Actually I am in the middle of writing this one particular topic and it had been going on for a few days already, but I guess, that entry will have to wait as I think, this entry has to go first... Make way for Uncle Lee of A Moonlight Rendezvous.

Came across his blog quite sometimes back after blog hopping. Just love his humour and his writing especially when it comes to his Ninjalogy. And I must say, he is very good at words. The only thing about his blog is, I think it is not suitable for kids underage! Hihihi.. Sorry Uncle Lee.. at times the photos you posted, makes me shy shy cat la... hahaha... I orang kampunglah Uncle Lee, bila tengok all those sexy sexy girls, my eyes like want to pop out! Hahaha... Tui phu chee Uncle Lee...

And Doc, yes...I would like it very much you just address me as, 'Lee'... the 'uncle..' more meant for those below 22, ha ha

Quoted this in one of his replies to the many comments he received in his blog. Well Uncle Lee, I am definately not below 22. Infact another year, I will be double that number! Hahaha... But I like to address you as Uncle Lee to show respect for someone who is elder than me, even just for 1 or 2 years of age. Dare not call you Abang Lee, or your Mrs will start pulling up her sleeves... oooo ada hati mau tackle I punya darling heart throb!!! Aiyooo cabut lari laaaa.......

And thank you Uncle Lee for making me smile all day long with your reply to my comments on your Seducing A Man's Heart Thru His Eyes entry.

Uncle Lee said...
Hello Mama Fami, I love your humour. Hey....every woman
has her own beauty believe you me.
Nobody is fat or plain or
whatever....beauty can be your eyes, your ahemmm, legs, the way you walk...and
the most powerful of all, your smile.

Mama Fami, I if under different
circumstances will date you anytime, ha ha.
And ha ha, love women like
you...and I like your, "maybe I don't have a good look to offer but I may have
other good qualities instead... what do you think Uncle Lee? Hahaha".

Ahhhh, can I buy yiu dinner at Cameron Highlands Smoke House Inn, we can
discuss that when after dinner walk in the mist? Ha ha.

Whatever it is,
whatever you are Mama Fami, a man loves you, your hubby....you mentioned you
'xxl'....I know women with an 'M' even 'S' satu boyfriend pun tada, let alone
tengok dua bulan....
so Mama Fami, you are beautiful. I say so. Anybody
disagree jumpa saya, ha ha.
You have a nice day and keep a song in your
heart, Lee.

Uncle Lee said...
Hello Mama Fami, alamak oi! Invite satu dapat gerabak
empat?
Can, no problemos. Will be my pleasure to meet the gang, ha ha.
Glad I made you smile, Mama Fami....nothing like a smile to push away any
dark clouds and bring out the sunshine.

Ha ha, your 'mach bodygurad'?
Yes Ma'am, uncle Lee at your service...anytime.
Perumpuan punya pasal, I
mesti come to the rescue...ada iced kopi ke? Ha ha.

You have a nice day,
Mama Fami, jumpa lagi, Lee.

Psst Uncle Lee... about that dinner at Cameron Highlands Smoke House Inn, can we change the venue? I am not sure the halaal status there. Can we go to Kenny Rogers instead? And the offer must still be for 4 okay, remember the package! Hahahahaha..... just kidding!

And Uncle Lee, I belanja you Iced Coffee already, but you're unable to open the URL that I gave you. So here's again for you on your 200th Blog posting

Have fun cooking....kalu you buat donuts or upside down pineapple cake, hantar
saya telegram...siap kan iced kopi I take bus come over

Quoted from his comment on my page...

Alamak, now you want donuts and upside down pineapple cake pulak ke? That day you were asking for cream puffs, remember? Well, that is on the way. Mmmm now I have to go hunting for donuts and upside down pineapple cakes. Jangan I yang go upside down sudah! Hahahaha..... Wish me luck!

I think I've written long enough, but not as lengthy as Uncle Lee's entries! *wink* *wink*. I'll post the recipe for the Iced Coffee that I have made the same day Uncle Lee posted his entry that made my day... The iced coffee is a bit bitter and not too sweet, just to my liking. To be honest with all of you, I have never tasted Iced Coffee before, so I am not sure how it tastes like!
