Apple, Carrot and Orange Coleslaw

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

Last Tuesday morning, I put up a post in Facebook, asking how to get to Hospital Kuala Lumpur via commuter from Subang Jaya. Alhamdulillah, there are a number of friends who is more than willing to help. For that, I am very thankful. I am blessed to have such wonderful and helpful circle of friends around, just like Eiffa Fourgy had said....[quote] untung mama ramai kawan.... x sesat jln...[unquote]. Thanks to Nazrina a.k.a Bunga April, Nor Aliza Abdul Aziz, Zana Abd Majid, Rahman Roslina and Eilla Zalila to name a few, for all the suggestions. And not forgetting to my dearest Sister and her Arjuna for trying their best to help! Arjunaaaa??? Ahaks... mama pun dah sengal....

We took the commuter from Subang Jaya straight to Sentul Station. And yes, I ENJOYED THE TRAIN RIDE... ahaks.. kesian tol orang tua ni.. lom grow up lagi gamaknya!. When we got down at Sentul Station, we took a cab just outside the station. When we reached the hospital, hubby paid RM12.00 and we went straight to third floor to see Abang Ngah at the ICU unit. The moment I saw him, felt like bursting into tears but knowing that the family needs to be strong, I just held back the tears. It wasn't easy! My duaa, may Allah blessed Abang Ngah with the best, only HE knows what.

After like an hour or so at the hospital, we made our way home. We waited at the taxi stand in the Hospital area and none stop for almost 10 minutes. Then we decided to walk out of the hospital area and in less than 10 minutes time, we were in the cab to the commuter station. This time, the driver had the meter on. Guess what was the fare? RM6.80 and I actually enjoyed the music that he played on his cd player. Uji Rashid songs, my favourite artist. Just count how much the first taxi driver took as his 'TIPS'. Ish... how could he? Anyway, we just make halaal for all the 'extra tips' or otherwise, he'll be giving his family something not halaal right?

Hubby and my son, seeing how happy the mama was on the ride, decided to join in the happiness! Hahaha... We all had fun, didn't we guys?! Must do more often huh? Hahaha.....

I came across this coleslaw recipe from Wendy's lovely blog and decided to give it a go. Had it with frozen Chicken Chop (Ayam Madu Brand), brown sauce (made from the brown sauce powder given by my neighbour Saerah) and fried some frozen fries to complete the menu. I just love the coleslaw. Thank you to Wendy for the simple yet lovely recipe. Allow me to share it here.

Tauhu Bakar Sempoi

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

Every time I open the picture folders in my laptop, I will say... I must re-arrange the folder... I must delete the unwanted photos... I must this... I must that... But the true fact is, till today, the folders remain the same except the photos in them are getting more and more each day!!! And everytime I wanted to start doing it, the mind will say... it'll take ages to clear everything... and that puts me off.

But I guess, I have to do something soon before I am forced to do it!!! Huhuhu.... But when will that be?

Wallahua'lam.

Pucuk Paku Goreng Belacan

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

Have you ever felt yourself being like a GOOGLE SEARCH? If so, how do you feel?

I had always feel like I am a GOOGLE SEARCH. Not only to my family but also to my friends. At home, whenever someone can't find their stuff, they'll start asking...ma, did you see my 'this and my that' or... ma, did you remove my 'this and that' that I've kept in the cupboard. Oh my God... When I told them to look for it properly and using their eyes and not their mouth, they still couldn't find it. But when I asked them, where they last placed the stuff, and I looked at that spot, in less than 5 minutes, the thing is there... !

And with friends, they always ask me stuffs that actually I don't have any idea what's going on. But they know I'll provide them with answers and they are happy enough to accept it. For example, a friend will ask, why is this fellow driving like a crazy lunatic... and yes, she expects an answer... so I gave her one.... That fellow is in a hurry to go to the loo. She's happy with that... hahahaha....

Frankly speaking, it's tiring being a human google search!!!

French Beans and Tempe

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

This morning, when I had just finished eating breakfast, I said to myself, let me just hang the clothes out to dry after hearing the washing machine's indicator let out the beeping sound.
* Once done with the clothes, I saw a few newspapers fell off the rack and started to tidy them.
** When I was tidying up the newspapers, I saw the shoe racks that need to be sorted out. Went in the kitchen, took the garbage bag and start sorting out the shoes.
*** While doing that, I saw the floor needs sweeping. Done with the shoes, I grabbed the broom and started sweeping.
**** While sweeping, I heard the 'Suratkhabar lama (Old newspaper) van' coming towards my direction. Waved at the sweet Chinese lady and she came in with her trolly. I asked her to empty the newpapers on the rack, while I rushed upstairs to take a big garbage bag full of old excercise books and papers. Passed that to her and went upstairs to get the box full of old unwanted books. Hand them over to the lady and in return, I was given RM4.00. That was not as important as having an empty rack and a house with less unwanted stuffs inside! Hahaha...
***** When she left, I continued sweeping the floor and then I swept the lawn as well. At the same time, chatting with Kak Ana and did some gardening too.....

And my actual intention is just to hang the clothes out to dry!!!

Lemak Kobis & Sardin

If you're not meant to do something, then there must be something that will stop you from doing it. For instance, last Sunday when I was having a 'mesyuarat pagar' (gate meeting) with Kak Ana while hanging the clothes to dry, we had talked about starting our morning walks again. So, we had unofficially said that MAYBE we'll start on Monday morning. And yesterday, I overslept! Gosh the way I jumped out of bed (yes I know, it's bad for the heart but do I have a choice!!! Hahaha)! Luckily Syahmi woke up on his own and got ready fast and the way mama 'rempit' to school... well, Syahmi made it on time!

Pesanan penaja : Merempit hanya dibenarkan bila perlu.... muahaha ..... apa punya penaja daaa.....

When I reached home after sending Syahmi, Kak Ana was ready with her jogging attire. With an innocent look on the face, I said to Kak Ana....come let's go to the market. My freezer is almost empty! Hahaha... and Kak Ana, being an angle, accompanied me to the market though she has nothing to buy! What will I do without you kak! Bodek ler tu! Ahakss.... There goes one day or our 'supposed-to-start-morningwalk' thingy....

And today... no no no.... I did not oversleep okay...come on.. I'm not THAT sleepy head! Woke up at good time, sent Syahmi at good time. Only rushed a bit to get mak's breakfast. Once all done, wore my jogging shoes and off we went for our morning walk...BUT.... We walked for less than 300m, then all of a sudden, the rain started pouring! We were soaking wet by the time we reached home. Of course we were wet, because we didn't run, but we were jive walking in the rain...tu la, kecik kecik selalu kena marah main hujan. Ada peluang ni ha.... kami mainlah hujan sepuasnya.... hehehe.....There goes our second day of the 'supposed-to-start-morningwalk' thingy....

We'll see what awaits us tomorrow.....

As for today, I prepared these dishes for Mak and Syahmi's lunch....
