Roti Planta Manis

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

To be honest, I had not been doing much in the kitchen lately. My kitchen is just to prepare one meal a day and that's it. And that also, is because my mom is with us at the moment. Otherwise, I think the kitchen will stay in peace for quite a while. I am just not in the mood to try anything, but that does not mean I didn't print any new recipes from the net! I print recipes almost everyday! Hahaha...

I was so into reading. I had just finished reading YES BOSS by Areila Sahimi. I enjoy reading Eila's writing because it's not too heavy and it's just nice. I've read all her books and can't wait for her new book to be released!

When I read a novel, I will potray the characters as someone that I know in real life. In that way, I can actually have visions in my head as well to make the story comes to live. Achewa... baik punya berangan tawww.... Well, in Yes Boss, I see Fahrin Ahmad as Ilham Irfan (by the way, I like the name Ilham), Scha as Aryana, Datuk Rahim Razali as Datuk Maarof, Sheila Mambo as Datin Rokiah Kamsan, Sharifah Amani as Kak Nani, Normah Damanhuri as Mak Ngah Shamsiah, Shaheizy Sam as Abang Harun. To those who had read this novel, what do you think of my line of actor and actresses? Ngam tak? Hehehehe....

Blueberry Cream Cheese Bun

T.H.E R.A.M.B.L.I.N.G.S

Haiyeee... I'm here.. purposely didn't say, I'm back or otherwise people will think I'm back to stay, which I can't really promise! Hahaha...

So did you guys have a wonderful Eid-Ul-Adha? I had a wonderful time...going nowhere... doing nothing... and above all, cooking nothing! All we did was just lazying around in the house... watching TV, playing games, surfing the net and me... reading my story book! FINALLY I managed to finish reading Pretty Woman by Fern Michaels. Took ages for me to finish one book! Huhuhu... time is one reason but then the main reason is, I kept dozing off everytime I finished reading one page!!! Huhuhuhu.... Anyway, now I am starting on my newly bought novel... YES BOSS by Areila Sahimi... yessszaaa.....

I still can't get my mind off Roti Manis's bread production. They looked so gorgeous and so yummilicious that I feel like licking the laptop screen! I had to do something! And actually I did. But since the end product looked something like the Jaw's teeth, I don't feel like putting up the photo. Yesterday I baked another batch and this time, it looked much better! Hahaha... less scary if you ask me... It was a bread recipe by Roshayati Johari, which I've tried years back. But this one was altered slightly by the proud owner of Roti Manis, Puan Liza Othman

Penang Char Kue Tiau

Just a quick update today as my to-do list is so long and my list of wish-to-do is of the same length! We'll see what I end up with... hopefully, I'll managed to settle at least 50% of the to-do list and try to forget about the wish-to-do! Hahaha....

Anyway, last Monday evening, my brother didn't tell me in good time, that he's coming over to fetch my mom. He only called me when he was on the way here. I normally will bake or cook something for him to bring home for my nephew and nieces. Given so little time to think, I managed to bake some puffs and cooked Char Kue Tiau Penang (first trial) for mom to break her fast. So in 45 minutes time, and considered just the perfect timing, mom managed to break her fast without having to fast extra time and I am a happy aunt to be able to pack something for her nephew and nieces. Hahaha.. do I feel like I am in MasterChef? Well, the feel is there but never in my life, imagining myself entering the contest. Will fail in the first step! Trust me! Hahaha....

I was watching this Youtube on how to fry char kue tiau and decided to give it a try, though frankly speaking, I have doubts at first. It can't be that easy and yet tasty, can it? Well, if you don't dare to try, then it will stay as a questionmark forever... so yes, no harm trying.. surprisingly, it tasted good though not as good as the Pakcik at Upin Ipin Restaurant's Char Kue Tiau. Why? Because the very same night, we went for the pakcik's char kue tiau! Hahahaha....

For the recipe, please adjust the amount of the ingredients according to your tastebuds ya. You can refer to the Youtube too for the cooking demo.
