Singgang Daging

Everyone needs a shoulder to cry on, no matter how tough that person is. I came across this website , listing how we can be one. Let me just quote it here, so that we can all share the useful information...
Step 1 : BE TRUSTWORTHY

Nobody will open up to someone who is not respectable. You have to earn that person's trust by keeping their confidence. Be ready to become a voice of inspiration to the hurting person.

Step 2 : BE AVAILABLE

Being there shows that you care. People always want people they love or trust to be by them, through thick or thin. Your presence is enough to stop the tears from flowing.

Step 3 : BE A LISTENER

At this point, the hurting person has reached catharsis and needs someone just to listen. Be that person. Let the hurting person feel important and free to release their feelings.

Step 4 : BE EMPATHIC

You must put yourself in that person's shoes, in order to understand their hurt. This requires being non-judgmental and in tune with that person's emotions. Being empathic will help you say the right words to sooth their hurt.

Step 5 : BE SINCERE
Being genuine in lending your shoulder proves your integrity to the hurting person. Ulterior motives always ruin what can be a wonderful
relationship. You have to care about people with all sincerity.

But trust me, not everybody you can trust to be your shoulder to cry on. I learnt it the hard way which left a bit of scar in my heart. I guess, at times, less said are better!

Enough said.... let's move on to another recipe that I had tried recently. It was well enjoyed, again by Syahmi. My boy has the same taste as the mommy who likes sour stuffs. I came across this recipe at Jun's Blog . Since the recipe looks easy, I said to myself, why not give it a try. I made the right decision. Thank you Jun and Putra yanty of MYR, for the recipe.

SINGGANG DAGING

Ingredients :

1/2 kg topside beef
6 shallots
3 garlic
1 inci ginger
2 pieces dried tamarind (asam keping)
1 tablespoon corriander seed ~ pounded
a bit of black pepper ~ crushed
1 tablespoon chillie paste
salt, sugar and zeal to taste
1 teaspoon Budu (optional)

Method :

1. Slice the topside beef thinly. Wash and set aside.
2. Slice onion, garlic and ginger.
3. Place the beef, onion, garlic, ginger, corriander, black pepper and chillie paste into a pot with a bit of water and let it cook on medium heat.
4, When the water is almost dried up, add enough water for the gravy. Add in the dried tamarind, salt, sugar and zeal to taste. Let it boil. Once the beef is cooked, it's ready to be served.

Happy cooking!

  9. Hello MamaFami, I have strong shoulders, can carry 125 pounds, even more no problemos, and saya boleh simpan secrets, arhaaa ha ha.
Regret you ada scars....ya la, saya pun da kena wounded dua kali.

Previous to this present blog I had two others,
Memories of the way we were' and 'Moonlight and roses'....da la dua kali perumpuan punya pasal, I had to destroy both completely.

So now I only trust those who can cook Singgang daging, ha ha ha. Torture betul la see your expert cooking. Hubby you kurus or macham enam bulan, ha ha as your dishes semua mesti tiga pingan nasi kinds, ha ha.

Maybe in a way I da missed cross your path, otherwise da kena handcuffed with you, habis cherita, today saya 197 shapely, ahemmm, pounds...if with your singgang daging, habis cherita....tentu lepas 250, heh heh. Just joke joke only ya.

MamaFami, if you not practicing your cha cha or Tango....not cooking your World famous assam tenggiri pedas, check out our Canadian made TV sitcom, on your Youtube.

Title, 'Little Mosque on the Prairie'. It is pechah perut hilarious! It is produced, directed by a Canadian Muslim lady with Muslim actors and our Mat Salleh giler sini, ha ha.

It is about Muslims being sterotyped (ini I think Middle East) being wife beaters, bomb exploders and the hilarious misunderstandings between Muslims and non-Muslims.

It is more popular than our other programs here, and being watched by US orang too.
Boleh tesedak la look at their hilarious misunderstandings.
Have a nice day and jangan lupa tu cjili red lipstick, Lee.

Oh no... I didn't know about your other blogs yang kena destroy tu. What a waste eh? Why don't you just block it instead of deleting it? Knowing you, you took a lot of effort to post one entry. Imagine the whole blog! Oh me oh my... I don't have the heart to even think about it! Anyway, that's life kan Uncle Lee... sometimes everything just go smoothly and at times it's the opposite.... but we don't have a choice but to just go through with it....
