Rose Swissroll



ROSE SWISS ROLL
Source : Rinnchan

Ingredients :

3 eggs, separated
1/2 cup castor sugar
1/2 cup self raising flour, sifted
1/4 cup corn flour, sifted
2 tblspn hot milk
1 tblspn butter, melted
2 tblspn rose water ( I substituted with 1 tspn of rose essence)
a few drops of red coloring
100ml whipping cream, whipped till stiff peak form

Instruction :

1. Pre-heat oven at 180 deg cel.
2. Beat egg whites till stif peak formed.
3. Add sugar, continue beating till thick and glossy.
4. Add egg yolks little by little, beating well after each addition.
5. Lightly fold in flour with milk till well-combined.
6. Add melted butter and lightly mix it. Add coloring, mix well.
7. Pour batter in a greased and lined a swiss roll pan and bake for 8 ~ 10 minutes.
8. Leave cake in tin for 5 mins. Then take out to cool on wire rack.
9. Place on a wet tea towel and cut sides away.
10. Spread cream and roll the cake.

    Cantik swiss roll yg mamafami buat. saya pernah buat sekali berthn2 dulu tp tak cantik bila gulung pecah dan mcm tak mau melekat setelah gulung,entah mana silap..lepas tu dah putus asa nak cuba lagi.nak mkn beli kat kedai. tp bila nengok mama fami tunjuk step by step ni macam senang pulak. Selain whipping cream apa yg sedap selain jem utk spread sbb whipping cream kat sini mahal bangetlah mamafami. tq.

    Waalaikumussalam mamasya. Buat swiss roll ni, kena confidentkan aje masa menggulung tu. InsyaAllah. Gulung guna kain lembab sikit masa panas tu. Elok keluar dari oven, remove kertas alas tu, terus gulung dan biarkan dalam keadaan tergulung untuk seketika. Bila dah sejuk sikit, bukak dah sapukan jem atau krim then gulung kemas-kemas semula. InsyaAllah senang. Selain whipping cream atau jem, boleh gak guna icing. InsyaAllah nanti mama upload resipi swiss roll yang lagi satu ok...

    saya ada beberapa kali cuba buat swiss roll ni..tapi my problem same with mamasya,bila nak gulung je..pecah dan yng akhir sekali gulungan tu..terbuka pulak,ni menyebabkan saya kecewa..apa masaalah ya?.Ini blog baru ya..

    Ampunnn...tak bersalah ni...hehehe....Don't worry, swiss roll patah is a common problem to many. Keep practising, insyaAllah ok. Try following the steps yang mama beritahu mamasya kat atas tu...But most important, be confident and keep trying ok...
