Pineapple Tart (Kak Anim)

Ingredients :

115g mentega
115g ghee
1 egg (grade B)
450g flour
a bit of salt
chill water (if necessary)

Store bought pineapple jam filling

Method :

1. Break the egg into a mixing bowl.
2. Add in butter, ghee and salt. Mix well using a wooden ladle. 
3. Add flour a little at a time till a soft dough is formed. 
4. Keep in the refrigerator for 15 minutes. 
5. Roll the dough thin and cut using the tart cutter. 
6. Place a bit of pineapple jam filling in the middle. 
7. Arrange in a baking tray and bake in a preheated oven at 170C for 20 minutes

  3. Mama...this pineapple tart very the pantang! I cannot resist. Every Chinese New Year when I go visiting, if there is pineapple tart I will sure ngap! Every house, tak kisah, kalau ada pineapple tart I will ngap even if I had already done so at the other houses hah..hah....But this is something I probably won't nake at home. Macam susah...

    1. Phong Hong... same here la. I usually go for Pineapple Tart. My late dad's favourite too. And I love baking them too, provided the dough is easy to handle. This one is quite messy to me. But it's ok, you'll never know unless you've tried making them right... :)
