Strawberry Yogurt Chiffon Cake

I watched the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 and I am really sad and frusterated! My heart was beating fast! Luckily it did not come off it's 'socket' or I would be heartless and that is no good news! Hahahaha....

From what I saw, our football players were not treated fairly! That's all I can say... it is just too obvious!

To HARIMAU MALAYA team... WELL DONE! Maybe it's just not our day to win. Nevertheless, you've tried your best. Winning is not everything and losing doesn't mean it is the end of the world.

CONGRATULATIONS to our Badminton Mens Doubles from group A, Koo Kien Keat and Tan Boon Heong for winning the game with rubber set against Denmark Team in the OSIM BWF World Superseries Final.

Yes... I continued watching Badminton after the Football game! I am a good Malaysian, am I not? *wink*

I wanted to update my blog earlier but the internet line was down. I think I must have accidently touched the connecting wire when cleaning the cabinet just now and the line got disconnected.

Anyway, here I am with another chiffon cake recipe.... as promised to Saerah, Kanita and McK.


STRAWBERRY YOGURT CHIFFON CAKE

Ingredients :

6 egg yolks
100g strawberry yogurt
150g flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
100g caster sugar
3g salt
100g corn oil

6 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon cream of tar tar
100g sugar
strawberry essence 
red food coloring


Method :

1. Preheat oven 170C
2. Whisk egg yolks with sugar till pale in colour. Add in yogurt and also oil. Add in your sifted flour, baking powder and also salt. Lastly add in strawberry essence and red colour. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, whisk egg white with cream of tar tar till foamy. Slowly add in sugar a little at a time and whisk till soft peak.
4. Pour the mixture into a size 23cm ungreased chiffon cake tin. Since I don't have that size cake tin, I had used two tins, sized 18cm and 20cm
5. Bake it for 45mins. Once baked, turn your chiffon pan upside down and leave to cool. Remove from pan, slice and serve.

  1. As Salam mama...wah!! love u la mama. Suka tengok kek ni. Kalau dengar je kek yang ada boh yogurt mesti cepat2 nak tengok. Suka la. Nak save recipe ni la. Tapi loyang nak wat kek chiffon lum beli lagi. Sungguh sempurna kejadian kek ni. rasa nak gigit2 je kek ni dengan kelembutan kek chiffon yang ringan ni...walah! Suka2x..
    Malaysia kalah. Nak wat camne mama. Pengadil pun tak adil. Malaysia macam kene buli pun ada...so sad..

    1. Waalaikumussalam Liana dear... Oooo kalau nak pancing Liana datang sini, senang je la nampaknya. Mama tulis YOGURT je kat title entry, mesti Liana terbang datang eh? Hehehe.... Alhamdulillah kek ni lembutttt bersesuaian dengan nama dia lah kan...chiffon. Buat pun senang dan cepat je.

      Semalam tengok bola tu, hubby mama yang biasanya cool pun terus berbunyi! Menunjukkan betapa sakitttttnya hati kami dengan pengTAKadil tu.... geram tak abes lagi ni...

      Semalam tu, memang terserlah ketidakadilan pengTAKadil tu. Players kita, Amar dan Mat Yoh especially, asyik kena siku terang terang dengan players Thai... no action taken. Tapi jangan players kita buat salah sikit... cepat je kena. Geram betullll semalam tau. Sampai hari ni pun, bila teringat, masih marah lagi. Kalau ada niat nak berat sebelah, baiklah tak yah jadi pengadil. Baik dok kat bangku je sokonglah team awak tu sampai hilang suara! Hish... Astaghafirullahalazim... sabar mama sabarrrrr....... tarik nafassss.....lepasss... mmm lega sket! Hahahaha...

  3. Hehe..tepat sekali mama..kek yang ada yogurt akan terus zuup je laju singgah blog mama :-) Memang obvious betul pengadil korea tu menghukum pemain malaysia. Kesian player tu (tak tahu nama tapi tahu baju no 27). Nampak mulut dia bergerak "Apa aku buat?!"

      Player jersey no 27 ialah Fadli Shaas. Shian dia. Nanges kena keluar. Mama nak nanges masa tu pun, airmata tersumbat sebab hati sangat geram!

      The day I made this cake, I kasi tuang extra coloring. That's why the color is brighter! Hahaha... I purposely tuang bukan accidently.. :D

      Haiya... don't drink too much coffee la, nanti pening. Cuba minum ice blended plak.. kasi cool down sket.. hahaha...
