Red Velvet Cake Classes

A very good day to everyone....

It had been such a hectic weekend for me. Infact, it started way before the weekend. I don't know what was I busy with but the next thing I know, a day has gone by. Time flies...

Anyway... thank you to these lovely ladies Amelia, Kak Noor, Amie, Zana and Mak Teh for leaving a comment on my previous entry. Thank you for your concern. The reason for me being tensed was because I had to whip some fresh cream! What's wrong with whipping fresh cream, you may ask. Well, all these while, whenever I whip the cream, it won't be fluffy. Easy said... it didn't turn out to be what it is supposed to be! That's why I ended up buying those in the cans! Hahaha.. there goes my 'dark secret'!

But I am grateful to have bunch of friends who are always willing to teach me. One of them is Mat Gebu. He told me to keep the mixer bowl and the balloon whisk in the fridge before using. And I did just that. Today, he said to use the non-dairy so that if we over-beat the cream, it won't do much harm. Oooooooo now I know!!!

What did you do with the fresh cream mama?
Well, thanks to Fadzlina for always torturing me with her Red Velvet cake orders. Told her that I am not good at whipping the fresh cream but she insisted. For her very first order, the topping wasn't stiff at all. I thought that would be the end of her ordering RV cakes from me, but I was wrong... terribly wrong! For this time, she repeated her order... A cake and a dozen cupcakes. Not only that, her officemate Fiza decided to join in as well. That explains the hair pulling photo in my previous entry! Hahahaha....

Unfortunately, I won't be able to share these lovely cakes' recipe with all of you in order to respect my RV Cake sifoos.... yes sifoo with an s, because I had used 2 recipes to produce this lovely cakes. But never fear, they do have classes for this particular cake. Please feel free to contact both my sifoos.

  2. Wow, they look fantastic and if you do overbeat cream and they curdle, just add a little bit of milk and whip again and they will be back to normal!

      Thanks for the tips. The milk you've mentioned is fresh milk is it? Whenever the cream curdles or doesn't show any signs of transforming itself into that fluffy thingy, I just panicked! Hahaha... Very hazardous indeed!

    ma , mokwo dah buat itu hokaido cc tap kan it fails with flying colours...huwaaa..but the taste is superb!! nanti nak try lagik...maybe mokwo terlbih pukul itu telur daaa....sib baik resepi dia dpt ciput jek! happy baking!!

      Eh kenapa Hokkaido CC Mokwo fail with flying colors? Mana silapnya ni? Aisehmen, ini yang buat hati tak syok nih. InsyaAllah kita tepek resepi sejibik sejibun cam kita buat... tiga kali plak tu. So far, alhamdulillah. Tak ada masaalah. Cuma cc yang terakhir kali kita buat ni, kita terbalikkan kek tu selepas keluar dari oven, nak bagi dia menten montoksss... Harap Mokwo tak serik nak cuba lagi... Putih telur tu, pukul sampai kental, bila terbalikkan bowl, putih telur tu tak jatuh. Bekas kena bersih dan kering. Kita rasa Mokwo dah arif bab tu semua kan... :) Tak pe Mokwo, cuba lagi.. aja aja fighting!!!!

    Glad to hear that you're ok. Was worried thought what happen to you. Aiyahh.... it was the cause of the whipped cream that made you so tensed up!! Darah ada naik upstairs tak?

    But our cuaca panas teruk, whipped cream susah nak stay longer. Usually I use cool whip, non dairy is more stiff. Or you can add 1tsp gelatin to 3tsp water for 3 cups of whip cream.

    1. Mrs Kayrul... you are not alone okay. Inilah first time mama buat cream untuk red velvet cake jadi stiff molek cam ni. Dulu ada buat sekali.... jadi macam salji cair... ahahahaha.... tapi mama tak serik.. masih cuba lagi. Alhamdulillah berhasil kali ni... aja aja fightingggg!!!!

    kot boleh share pengalaman intan..intan slalu guna non-dairy whipping cream Value Pride punya..memang stakat ni menjadi yo..alhamdulillah..dan x perlu nak tambah icing ke apa..sbb manisnya dah manis2 buah..dappp.. :) intan pun br tau beza dairy whip dgn non-dairy..tu yg start pakai brand ni..mmg slalu ada kat bakery shop n klu x silap yg paling murah berbanding RICH..xtau la kot kalau intan salah..maaf ye kalau info x betui! :)
