Deutshe Kekse

Have you ever experienced feeling lazy to do anything but at the same time craved to bake something? I always have that kind of 'syndrome'. That's when I start looking for something very simple to do, to fulfill both categories. When you're lazy, you will surely want to finish off whatever you do as fast as you can. So at the same time, you bake! And this is one of the recipe that falls in that category. Because of it's simplicity and not to mention the lovely taste, I've made twice this recipe two days in a row. It's hasslefree, trust me. And yesterday was even better. Syahmi helped me with the shaping of the cookies. I was running out of time and who should walk into the kitchen.. Syahmi. Hahaha.. perfect timing boy! Thank you for helping mama... do walk into the kitchen anytime okay... hahaha...

I have to thank Rima for the lovely recipe and not to mention her lovely photos that makes me feel like going straight into the kitchen to prepare whatever I saw in Bisous À Toi. If you don't believe me, do have a peek here.

Without further adieu, I'll post the recipe here, according to how I had prepared mine. Rima and Mat, allow me to copy and paste your recipes here for the reading pleasure of my visitors. Thank you so much and may Allah bless you both. Ameen...


GERMAN COOKIES @ DEUTSHE KEKSE

Ingredients :

125g butter - (I used Planta margarine)
40g icing sugar (sieved)
125g potato starch
80g superfine flour

Method :

1. Beat butter and icing sugar till fluffy and lighter in colour.
2. Sift in potato starch and superfine flour, mix to form a soft dough.
3. Roll into small balls (about 7g each) and arrange on lined baking tray (Rima used 1/2 tbsp to get the same size).
4. Press the tip of the fork onto the cookie dough.
5. Bake in preheated oven at 170 deg C for 15 mins


BISKUT GERMAN @ DEUTSHE KEKSE

BAHAN-BAHANNYA :

125 gram mentega berkualiti tinggi (mama guna majerin Planta)
125 gram tepung kentang (boleh beli kat kedai baking)
80 gram tepung halus
40 gram gula aising, diayak

KAEDAH PENYEDIAAN :

1. Satukan tepung kentang dan tepung halus, ayak dan ketepikan. Putar mentega dengan gula aising hingga sebati. Masukkan tepung sedikit demi sedikit hingga menjadi doh yang lembut.
2. Ambil sedikit adunan, kemudian bulat2kan dan susun atas dulang pembakar. Tekankan hujung garfu di atas bebola tadi hingga sedikit leper dan membentuk corak. Buat hingga siap.
3. Bakar dalam ketuhar yang telah dipanaskan terlebih dahulu pada suhu 170C selama 15 minit (mat tambah lagi 5 minit untuk mendapat biskut yang sedikit garing).
4. Sejukkan atas jaringan sepenuhnya sebelum disimpan dalam bekas kedap udara.
