Today is Friday the 8th January, 2010....
Happy Birthday to my cousin, Puan Karimah Ahmad...

Semoga akak dipanjangkan umur, dimurahkan rezeki, diberi kesihatan yang baik serta di dalam peliharaan dan rahmat ALLAH SNT sepanjang masa.... Amin.

Another person that I know who is celebrating his birthday today is Mr Adnan Ibrahim. Who is Mr Adnan Ibrahim? The brother of Anwar Ibrahim? Oh no no no.... Mr Adnan Ibrahim is a glamorous cook in this cyber world. Well known by the nickname of Mat Teko....ehhhhh... bukan bukan..... Mat Gebu. I am sure many of you are familiar with his blog, with such lovely food spread and the photo shots of his dishes which are brilliantly presented are simply superb. So Mat,

And Mat, since it's very expensive to get all the nice 'teko's for you (especially for a person who has high taste) plus I don't want it to break in the delivery process, I hope these will do.... terimalah 'teko' dari ma, seadanya...

COOKIES

Ingredients :

250 g margarine
140g castor sugar
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
410g cookies flour

Method :

1. Sieve flour and baking powder. Set aside.
2. Cream margarine and sugar. Add in egg yolks one at a time. Add in vanilla essence. Continue beating.
3. Add sifted dry ingredients till a soft dough is formed.
4. Keep in the fridge for 30 minutes.
5.. Roll to the thickness desired. Cut using a cookie cutter. Arrange on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
5. Bake in a preheated oven till golden brown. I used fan-oven at 150 C for 30 minutes.
6. Leave to cool completely before decorating with fondant or royal icing.
