You want to know what I did last weekend? Mmmm if you don't want, then don't read ya, because I am still going to write about it here. Too bad... hahaha....
Our weekend schedule was full. Leaving me exhausted towards the end of the day. But alhmdulillah, I still managed to bake all the cookies for Amy Stephen eventhough I had to sleep past 1 am for two days. Not Amy to blame but me! I guess I have to consider giving up my Mrs. Last Minute Dot Com title soon. I am just too old for that now. I know it's rather stressful to do things at last minute basis but when will I change? Only I can answer that... and since I don't have the answer just yet, we'll just wait and see.... hahaha...
Anyway, last Saturday, we followed our neighbour to the bride's side for the wedding ceremony. Their second son got married to Syazila of Bandar Sunway. After the ceremony, we made our way to Tanjong Malim, to a friend's house. Reached there around 5.20 pm and stayed there till 9.45 pm! Gosh.... didn't realise it was THAT long... due to the chaotic moments at their house! Hahaha... Thank you tuan rumah for having us! Jangan serik...... Reached home around 10.30 pm and started baking pineapple tarts for orders. Managed to get all done by 1.30am and I slept like I've never sleep before aka tidur mati! Hahahaha......
Sunday.... had jemput-jemput ikan bilis for breakfast and start coating the Almond London cookies for order. Then, prepared ourselves to attend our neighbour's son's wedding ceremony here.. infront of our house! All three neighbours were at the same table. Had a lovely time catching up with each other... that's what we call, so near yet so far... though we stayed in the same row, it's not always we get the chance to sit and chat.
Done with eating and chatting, we made our move... firstly to Gurney Heights and then to Taman Samudera. Had a lovely time there with lovely food and lovely friends. When we reached home, I went to Kak Paridah's house to give a helping hand whereever needed. By the time I went back home, I was totally exhausted and this time, I really gave up. I didn't bake any cookies. Told myself to do it the first thing in the morning...and that's exactly what I just did.... So my orders are completed.. Alhamdulillah.......
There goes my weekend story and now, let me just post something very easy to prepare but nice to eat.....
SAUSAGE BREAD ROLLS
10 Sausages (beef or chicken, to your liking) ~ poached
10 pieces white bread (I love Gardenia)
1 egg ~ lightly whisked
Enough bread crumbs
Oil for frying
For the glue : (Mix to form thick paste)
1 teaspoon flour
a bit of water
1. Roll thin each piece of bread.
2. Place one sausage on the bread and roll. Put a bit of 'glue' at the end of the bread.
3. Dip the rolls in the egg and coat with bread crumbs.
4. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry till golden brown. This process won't take long.
5. Remove from oil and onto a kitchen towel.
6. Ready to serve.
Before frying :
