Asam Pedas Ikan Kembung



ASAM REBUS IKAN KEMBUNG

Ingredients :

4 fishes of your choice

To be pounded/blended * :

* 4 dried chillie (cut and soaked)
* 1/2 inch ginger
* 2 garlic
* 3 shallots or 1/2 onion
1 tamarind slice
salt
Zeal
Enough water
5 pieces ladies finger/okra
1 round brinjal
* a bit of shrimp paste (optional)

Method :

1. Pound all the ingredients in *.
2. Place the poinded ingredients in a pot and add water. Let it boil.
3. Add in the fishes and let it boil for a few minutes than add in the brinjal, ladies fingers, salt and zeal.
4. Add in dried tamarind. We add this last or otherwise the vegetables will take time to soften.

Bahan-bahan ( 4 orang )

4 ekor ikan kembung

Bahan-bahan untuk ditumbuk * :

* 4 biji cili kering (potong dan direndam)
* 1/2 inci halia
* 2 ulas bawang putih
* 3 ulas bawang merah atau 1/2 biji bawang besar
1 keping asam keping/gelugur
garam
serbuk perasa
Air secukupnya
5 biji bendi
1 biji terung bulat (dipotong)
* sedikit belacan (jika mahu)

Cara-cara :

1. Tumbuk bahan-bahan bertanda * sehingga lumat (tumbuk pakai lesung batu lagi umpph.. dari blender)
2. Dalam periuk masukkan bahan-bahan yang telah ditumbuk tadi bersama-sama air dan didihkan
3. Setelah mendidih, masukkan ikan dan biarkan mendidih sebentar kemudian barulah dimasukkan terung, bendi, garam dan serbuk perasa.
4. Setelah itu barulah masukkan asam keping (jika masuk awal, sayur lambat lembut)
5. Apabila ikan sudah masak, sayur sudah lembut, rasa asam garam sudah cukup, tutup api dan hidangkan..

Nota :

1. Resipi asal menggunakan ikan pari, tapi mama gantikan dengan ikan kembung.
2. Mama tida memasukkan sayur bendi dan terung, tetapi mama masukkan celery.
3. Mama tidak menggunakan belacan.
