Chocolate Sponge Cake (Sis Juncupcakekasih)



CHOCOLATE SPONGE CAKE

Ingredients :

A:

250 g eggs
125 g caster sugar
110 g cake flour
15 g cocoa powder
50 ml fresh milk
15 g ovallete
65 g corn oil

B:

1 tsp vanilla essence
65 g corn oil

Method :

1. Line and grease 9" cake tin.
2. Preheat oven at 180°c
3. In a mixer whisk at high speed all the ingredients A. Mixture should be thick and fluffly
3. Turn to low speed and add in ingredients B and mix until just combined.
4. Pour batter into cake tin and bake for 35 - 40 min.
5. Invert cake for 5 min before turning over to cool completely.
6. Slice cake into two.
7. Spread the frosting and add on fresh fruits or anything to your liking on top.




Note :

1. I used a three 6 inch pan to do the cake. Makes a one tall cake, huhuhu... luckily it stayed intact by the time it reached it's destination. Hahaha....
2. I used THIS BUTTERCREAM RECIPE
3. I used fresh mangos.

    1. Tu la pasal Kak Noor. Silap teknik. Salah perhitungan. Haha. Sket baik ada kotak yang boleh kautim ketinggian kek. Gambar sliced cake tu kena mintak tolong my girl snap sebab kek tu dengan dia kat rumah kawan dia. Kita tak ada kat sana masa dia potong. So kenalah minta jasa baik dia snapkan gambar. That's the best she can provide katanya. Tak de fancy plates nak letak kek. Plastic plate je ada. Hahaha.... bolehlah daripada tak de :D

    1. Ala Phong Hong... you jangan kasi malu I la... hihihi... macam beli kat kedai eh? Kedai mana ada jual kek yang rupa kelam kabut macam ni! Kedai nak bangkrap la kot! Hahahaha....

      Actually tadi nak cepat update the blog, without any story telling. Mari sini nak cerita. I memang fail bab bab nak simen kasi licin on the cake. Sooooo, in order to cover line.... i simen je apa yang boleh, as 'smooth' as possible (hahahaha), then i pipekan the pagar tepi tu. On top, I guna peeler and peel the isi buah manga dan susun kasi tutup semua kelam kabut look on top! Then pipe the rosette (if you can call that thing rosette la. Hahaha). Then tambah seri (chewah), I letakkan je those chocolate balls yang I dig from my hubby's hamper yang dia dapat masa golfing last week. Thaaa dhaaaaa..... jadilah kek I yang 'serupa beli kat kedai'. Kah kah kah... Thanks Phong Hong for making my day! Hihihihi....
