Snow Cheesecake

My neighbour really made my day today. I emailed to her the photo of my snow cheesecake and her response was...

"Fuhhhh anggun nya wak, rasa nak naik pelamin gue tengok lu punya kek, hahahaha"
(Translation (roughly) : So lovely! Looking at your cake, I feel like being a bride again... hahaha...)

I laughed when I read her reply. It's just a simple decorated cake, just with grated cheddar cheese and she was imagining something grand! But nevertheless, that made me happy! Thank you wak for cheering my day...as usual.... Hope you liked this yummilicious cake..

 SNOW CHEESECAKE

Ingredients :

100 g flour
60 g corn flour/maziena
1 teaspoon baking powder
100 g castor sugar
6 eggs
2 tablespoons ovalette
50g chilled water (from the fridge)
75g melted butter

Topping :
1 box Philadelphia Cream Cheese (250g)
1/2 can condensed milk

Mix both ingredients and beat with electric beater till smooth and light. Ready to use.

To sprinkle :
1/2 box Kraft Cheddar Cheese (grated)



Method :
1. Place all the ingredients except melted butter into the mixer bowl. With a K beater, beat the ingredients on high speed till white and fluffy.
2. Reduce the speed and add in melted butter. Beat for a few minutes then cut and fold the batter using a spatula.
3. Pour into a 9 inch square greased baking pan and lined with parchment paper.
4. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 C for 30 minutes or till a skewer inserted in center of the cake comes out clean.
5. Remove from oven and after 5 minutes, remove the cake from the baking pan, onto the cooling rack.
6. When the cake is cool enough, cut the cake into 2 layers. Pour some filling on top of one slice and sandwich with the other layer.
7. Cover the cake with the balance topping. Then sprinkle with the grated Cheddar cheese.
8. Chill for two hours before serving. Enjoy!!!

      Ha ah, betul tu Yatie... memang sedap. Tak sia-sia mama menggagahkan diri cuba buat kek ni. Bukan apa, mama phobia sket kalau nak buat kek yang ala ala sponge cake ni... dalam banyak banyak kali cuba buat tu, yang ini kali kedua menjadi. Selebihnya... amat menyedihkan. Kena mandi bunga gamaknya... ahahahaha.....

    gerenti sedap ni cheesecake ni kak noor pernah buat tapi guna tepung optima cuma tambah telur dan butter je hee orang malas lah katakan,rajin lah mama boleh tak hantar sepotong teringin nk makan lama dah tak buat hee

      Hanya yang pernah rasa je yang tahu keenakannya kan Kak Noor. Tapi what makes me really proud of myself, is because, I managed to bake the sort of sponge cake dengan jayanya. Kalau tak, selalunya supposedly-sponge-cake kita pancit!!!! Ngeh ngeh ngeh... Eeee jauh tu nak anto... kitak lak kurang rajin ni....coweyyyy

    1. Cik Manggis.... rasanya sangat sedap. Amat rugi kalau tak cuba. Ini telah diperakukan oleh anak dara mama. Dia tu, kalau tak sedap, dia cakap direct je, tak de lapik lapik. Gitu gak kalau sedap... Tadi mama suruh dia rasa sekeping, dia tambah lagi... confirm sedap! Hehehe

    sesuai juga dibuat slice cheese cake kan..
    hahah..bila baca comment mama on anak dara mam yg cakap direct..
    sama jugalah kat rumah kita ni ma, tapi kita punya hubby dan my mum..

      Betul cakap Ayu... presentable untuk buat sliced cheese cake...
      Anak dara mama ni cakap direct tapi idaklah sampai ada hati yang terguris... cuma merajuk sikit je... tapi rajuk pun tak sampai 10 minit... ahaha... mama ni kan, dalam hati ada taman... dia baa baa cak sikit je, mama dah okay dah... ahahaha

    1. Waalaikumussalam Along. Tu la tu.. mama ni pun jarang dapat jalan sana sini. Sekali jalan tu, tinggalla jejak bertapak. Kenkadang bila ada chance nak jalan, sekadar menjengah dan berlalu.

      Topping tu, rasa macam nak grate guna yang besar punya pulaklah next time I make this cake... nak tengok ada beza rasa tak.. ;)

  11. Mmmm memang sedap kek nih, saya pon takut nak buat kek sponge tu...br je penah buat sekali coklat sponge tp xjd.....last2 letak ganache, jap jer abis semua mkn hehehe. Buat dulu beli nona sponge mix cake hahaha. Nak buat lg nanti......

    1. Hanim, jangan sesekali berputus asa kalau ingin berjaya. Mama pun dah BANYAK kali buat kek span bantat... tapi mama tetap terus mencuba. This time, tak bantat tau... lembut je.   23. Assalam...ni nak bagi reprot kat tuan rumah. Snowcheese saya dah menjadi. yeeeyyy...cheese x merajuk masuk batu belah batu bertangkup. Kikiki...tq 4 the recipe. Sgt2 sedap dan senang bangat nak buat rupanya !!!! Meh mama tgk hasilnya kat rumah saya. Nak soh tok guru komen ckit. (tp jgn komen bab deco ye! Memang hancusss)

    1. Selalunya orang buat kek guna grade B eggs. Tapi mama suka beli telur grade A. So, for me, I've used a grade A eggs. :D
